You might try using a proper NNTP newsreader such as Outlook Express or
Forte Agent. The web interface isn't the best way to interact with the
newsgroups anyhow.
The web interface is dreadful, but sometimes the IT crowd at a company
doesn't know the difference between a newsgroup and a chat room, and are
reluctant to allow a connection from an e-mail program (such as Outlook
Express) to anything other than the default mail server.
