News Goup in Outlook 2003

Win XP Pro, Outlook 2003.

I've followed the common directions of how to put the "News" button in the
Go menu but when I go to Tools>Customize>Command tab> select Go and am
supposed to be able to drag "news" over from the Commands to Categories.

The problem is that there is no "news" there at all. Even after selecting
the Go.

Actually even after I click the "Rearrange Commands" button there is not
"news" in any of the "Menu Bars" there at all.

So where would it be and how can I get the "News" button back in the Go
menu?

Thanks for any help

To get the News command back, go back to the Programs tab in Control Panel |
Internet Options and change the default newsreader to Outlook Express. If
OE prompts you to make it your default newsreader the next time you launch
it, click the "Don't ask me again" box and then click the No button.

You may need to reset the menu or toolbar using Tools, customize - then it
should be in the customize commands listing.

Diane,

I tried that but when I go to the Programs tap in Internet Options and click
the arrow next to "Newsgroup" I only have the option of Outlook Express.
There is no Outlook there so it's already set on Outlook Express.

However Email, Calendar and Contact List all say Microsoft Office Outlook.
