newest critical update KB835732

I have contracted virus spyware and backdoor.trojan, have installed spybot
s&d, adware, but cannot install newest update. Message tells me that program
downloads but will not install, any suggestions out there. thankyou

Often, updates will not install if some sort of malware is present.

Have those tools been updated within the last few days?
Did you also run an updated virus scan?
