Simon Steggles - personal email address

I am a newbie to this site, so please bare with me. I have just done my
first site and have been using the personal template for FrontPage. The site
was all wonderful, (at my very simple level), but now there seams to be a
problem with my photo gallery. This has happened 3 times, each time
previously I have redone all the work. This time I thought I would try the
somewhat more sensible route and ask the experts, hence the post.

Does anyone have a few minutes to let me know what to do?

URL is www.steggles.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk

Thanks in advance,

Simon

It's goofy online, but when I open it with edit the gallery works fine.
I'd try; Recalculate Hyperlinks then re-Publish. The see what happens.

There are some minor problems elsewhere on the site but you can fix them later; No nav on History Page, also the family crest image it way to big (file size).
Actually several pages have no nav.

hth.

For information, where are you??

Is there a simple way of putting in navigation?

Simon

Yikes you have the page included into itself. (The PhotogalleryPage). I'd delete the contents of that page and start over...leave the page alone, just empty that table that has your banner in it...then regenerate the photoalbum again (Insert WebComponent Photogallery)...make sure you don't include your banner as part of the photogallery :-)... find the find the photoalbum that has already been generated and delete it....thumbs, and the arbitrarily named photogalleryxxxxx. Start over, is the easiest. Once generated don't mess with the files.

This is just my opinion...one of the gurus may have a better solution for ya, but it may be just as easy to start again.

Then, Recalculate Hyperlinks before you re-Publish...you may want to do a full republish.
|
| Any more ideas??

Lots of them, but I don't think they'd solve yer problem :-)

|
| For information, where are you??

Physically or mentally or supernaturally? Physically Phx., mentally stuck in the 60's, .... can't answer the last one!

|
| Is there a simple way of putting in navigation?

Yeah, but do you really wanna know now? Let's fix the broken pages first...

Several of your pages have lost their tables, they are the ones that look goofla (thats a technical term)...their also the ones missing their nav links. I don't know how you are creating your pages but it may be easier to take a page that works and the tables are not missing, do a Save As on that page to create a new page, then rename it to Steggles-whatever.htm and move your contents over from the broken page, then delete the broken pages...just trying think of easy way for ya. Fixing the broken/missing tables (if thats what they are) may get you a little frustraged (new word!) if your a newbie.

BTW, you're doing a GREAT job for a noob!

Ok..back to Simon's problem (one of them),,

Look at his photogallery...see the way the page is included within itself? I had this happen to me once and I just started over again, but what would cause that...it drove me nuts.

You're doing fine and have him pointed in the right direction. Besides too

It's not hard to include an include in an include.
