Newbie, where to start, ASP to retrieve data from Access DB?

I'm using FP-2000 on a Window-98 system. I have a fair background in
MS-Access and would like to develop a web to retrieve (only at this stage)
data from a couple of the table in one of my DB's. I've created an ASP page
and inserted a result object on the page via the results wizard. The
connection seem to be OK since the wizard presents the tables and fields from
the DB.

It appears the FP Personal Web server is installed; but, does on appear
initiate the opening of the page. The result object displays the header rows
but no data is shown.

Being a FP newbie, I'm not sure where/how to debug. Is it even possible to
use the Web Server on the local PC?

Any help to get started would be appreciated. I've been through a lot of the
Knowledge base and different tutorials online (even trying some of the sample
code with no success on my PC).

Thanks
Jim T.

When I view the web settings from the tools menu it show "no server currently
in use". I can start the web server from an icon I created on the desktop but
is shows as "idle".

Note also the query used to for the results does not have any limiting
criteria. The table has plenty of data so the issue is not the data. I've
tried the database result example(s) shown in the ASP help and do not get any
result with this effort either.

The server setting is currently set for "ASP server" in the platform text
box on the file/properties menu (general tab).

Thanks

You must have the MS Personal Web Server, not the FP Web Server or you have to wait until you
publish your site to a Windows IIS web server that has the FP extensions.
