hi , i have just started using movie maker to import my camcorder film onto
my computer with a view to editing it and putting it on a dvd so i can play
it on my tv dvd downstairs. i thought it seemed pretty idiot proof and i
followed the wizard and it said to had copied succeesfully but when i put the
dvd into my dvd player it doesnt play. i have tried four different dvd
players and nothing. but it plays ok on the computer. what am i doing wrong .
is it in the wrong formay or something.

i dont know how to change formats or anything technical..... please can some
one help. I used DVD +r (non re recordable discs)

How did you copy the video onto the DVD?
You can't simply copy the video file to a DVD as data. Your DVD Player will
not recognize the AVI or WMV file.
If your version of Movie Maker does not give you the "Save to DVD" option,
which I generally don't recommend using anyway, then you need to use a DVD
Authoring program to create a "proper" DVD such as Ulead Movie Factory,
Sonic MyDVD, Nero Vision Express etc... see my website in the "DVD Creation"
section for more detail.

thanks wojo, in about 4 minutes i have figured out how to do it having spent
the last 4 days trying... i was pressing the "burn to cd button". i thought
that movie maker would do it all for me i didnt realise i had to go into nero
to burn it..

i have got pinnacle aswell but it doesnt recognise my camcorder so i am
stuck with movie maker
