new windows for new excel file

a user told me that everytime she open up a new excel file, it would open up
in a new windows (ie another windows on taskbar). now she said everytime she
opens up a new excel file, it would stay in the same windows (ie
windows>book1, book2 etc.). i try to it on my pc and i was able to open up
new excel windows everytimes i open up a excel file. so what's is going on
her pc and how do we resolve it? thx in advance.
 
You can customise this by going to

Tools->Options->View - check the option "Windows in Taskbar"..

If this option is selected, excel will show all open workbooks in Taskbar,
if not, then all under one window in taskbar..
