New W2K server

I have an NT 4, Exchange 5.5 server acting as a domain
controller. I have purchased a new server and installed
Windows 2000 and Exchange 5.5. I would like to move my
mailboxes to the new server and implement Active
Directory. WHat would the easiest (and least painfull)
way be?

I can't speak to the Exchange aspect of your question, but for Windows, you
will either have to install Windows Nt 4.0 Server onto the new server as a
BDC to your existing domain, make it the PDC, and then upgrade to Windows
2000, or upgrade your existing PDC to Windows 2000, and then promote the new
server to be a domain controller in the domain.
