OK, that needs a little bit of explaining...

I did not have Google Chrome installed; I merely passed on the
information that I had from Majorgeeks. And now that you ask, I thought
that they probably got their version number wrong - again!

So I went to the Google Chrome site, and installed it right from there.
The installed version was 1.0.154.43 - right!

Then I went back to the Majorgeeks website, and downloaded their
installer, chrome_installer.exe (8701KB), then ran it. Nothing seemed to
happen - no visible installer ran. But then I launched Google Chrome
again, and now the version is... 2.0.159.0 ... !

When I made the same observation in another NG, I was informed that
MajorGeeks versions were 'developer' versions (essentially Betas).

I personally do not mind these developer Betas, as Google itself is in
the habit of riding the 'Beta' wagon for a long time.

The little use of 2.0.159.0 (portable) I have made so far suggests it is
stable enough for use.
