My workplace has 2 Windows 2000 servers. One has a DSL connection and shares
the Internet Connection. the other server, our domain controller, has
internal DNS and runs our Active Directory. We recently added some Windows
2000 Professional workstations. I can get these workstations to join a
workgroup, but not the domain and therefore can authenticate users from the
DC.
DHCP comes from the Internet sharing, DNS and Active Directory are on the DC.
If I cannot get these 2000 pro machines to join the domain. is there a way
to force the users to be authenticated on the network in order to use the
computer (like our win98 machines)?
