New user needs answer to 120-day trial question

Mike

I purchased the Windows 2000 Server book for my networking
class. I used the cd that came with the book to install
Windows 2000 server on my home computer. The cd has "120-
day limit on use" printed on the it, I'm just wondering
what happens after the 120 day period? Will I be forced
to purchase the full version of windows 2000, or does the
program just stop working? (I just purchased a new
computer with windows xp, so I don't plan on using windows
2000)

Thanks

It will stop working. An hour before (if the desktop is booted) you will
get a notice, then once that final hour is up, it blue screens and won't
boot again. You can still go into Safe Mode to recover your files, though
