I have windows XP 120 day trial version-

1.Will it warn me when the 120 days are Up?

2. What will happen after 120 days. Will I be able to access the
files ?
Maybe thru DOS ?

3 I'd like to transfer the data files to another pc Where I'll put a
retail version of xp.
Can I copy this disk to the new PC and then install the retail
version on top of this one so that I don't loose any data ?

Thanks Joe

It will warn you and it will stop working after the 120 days. If the
computer is formatted NTFS, you can't use DOS to retrieve your files.

You can place the 'trial' drive into your new computer as a slave drive, and
then copy files over at your leisure..

Type in Winver in run and hit ok. You should see when the 120 days are up in
the About Windows screen.
