New slides make green background in power point

When I am making a new slide in power Point I will coping and pasting words
to the new slide from MS Word or an email sent to me and it sometimes comes
up with a green background which I did not choose. I start with a white
background.. Why is this happening. I have Windows XP, and Power Point 2003,
With MS Office 2003..How can I prevent this from happening and why does it
happen?

First, go to Help| Check for Updates. Then can you maybe update Video
Drivers.
