Hi,

I just bought a new Seagate Barracuda 7200 80 GB (Ultra ATA 100)
hard disk. Upon FDisk I can only detect 10 GB (10781 MB). Why's this
?? Anything wrong with this hard disk ?? I thought of returning this
unit for a replacement.

Thank You.

Most likely thats just a quirk of fdisk. Its showing
the space over 64GB when you allow for the
difference between binary and decimal GBs.

There is an updated fdisk on the MS site, but if you
just want to have a single partition for the whole drive,
you dont even need to bother, just carry on regardless.
Anything wrong with this hard disk ??

Thats very unlikely.
