New SCSI HHD & Ctrl

We installed a new 18 Gb Scsi U160 HDD attached to a new
LSI Logic U160 controller in our W2K server; then we used
Ghost to make an image of its old SCSI Wide HDD attacched
to an Acard Wide Scsi controller.
The copy was fine , but new SCSI disk hangs booting (at
W2K logo)if attacched to new SCSI controller : if we
attach new SCSI HDD to old SCSI controller everything
works fine.
How can we do to use new controller togheter with new HDD ?
Thanks in advance - M. Olivero.

Did you use the card bios to low level format the new drive first?
Sometimes helps introduce the drive to the controller.

Did you install the drivers for the new card in windows first?
Before imaging the drive?

When it hung booting did the system have the old controller and old
drive in the system? If so, do the old drive and the new drive both
have the same SCSI ID?

Did you enable the LSI card bios to actually boot from the drive?

Make sure the old drive is removed after imaging.
