New Programs Installed Message

I installed 3 new programs on my computer yesterday.
Every time I restart my computer since, and click on
the "START" button on the bottom left, the 'all programs'
arrow has "New programs installed" next to it.

Does this message eventually go away or is there
something wrong that isn't getting reset when I reboot?

The message eventually goes away by itself.

(Note: The message lasts longer if it detects that it's annoying you, so
don't let on that it does.)

Thanks for your help -- I have found when I'm annoyed, it
comes up, but when I'm feeling fine (like having a few
drinks) I barely notice it
