New Motherboard Blues

To anyone who can help me. I recently bought a new MSI
K7N2 Delta motherboard to upgrade from a MSI KT3 Ultra2,
and didn't realize that I would have to reinstall Windows
XP Pro. This wouldn't be a big deal if not for the fact
that my original disk is somewhere in my storage shed.
Now I only have a friends copy available, and I don't
have my registered serial number. Does anyone know of a
way I can (1)use my existing windows installation on my
new HD, or (2)find my XP serial number on my HD when
hooked up as a secondary drive.

Before you change the motherboard, you can find the key from the link below.
You could also configure back to the original MB to retreive the key if you
have swapped out the MB already.
