NEW MMC

Does anybody know if ATI Tech. is working on a NEW fixed version of
Multimedia Center.

They need to fix the bugs in the version MMC 9.08 with a new version. There
is NO other software, other than ATI MMC software, that can control the ATI
All-In-Wonder series video cards.

I can see, once ATI fixes the MMC software problems, there sales will boost
very high, higher than it's ever been.

I agree. Maybe AIW cards represent only a small fraction of their total
sales and so they don't really care about MMC. Because as it stands, MMC is
complete buggy trashware.

I think ATI is cut from the same cloth as MS Windows designers: 50 years of
development and they're still putting out garbage that looks like a first
attempt.

Well, I've always known that MMC is crapware ever since I owned my 9800
AIW. However, I could actually get all the applications working with my 9800
including the AIW remote. Now, with my x800xt everything works until I hook
up the AIW II remote. Then, MMC crashes and all hell breaks loose. So, I've
temporarily disconnected my remote since it doesn't work for crap. At least
my remote worked with out problems on my 9800. Oh well, ATI get us the new
MMC set already!!> zzzzzzzzzzzz

Guess I'll try the snapstream software.

Do you use this? If so could give me your opinion compared to MMC. I have
considered using it myself.

I've used the demo. It's very nice. Works well, has far more recording
options, and the Guide functions are a lot smoother than GuidePlus. I'd
definitely buy it if I could spare the money.
