New mail notification

I have read the directions for how to have Outlook play a sound when I
receive new email. It is still not working and I do not understand how to
fix it. I went into the control panel also and it is still not working.

Tools | Options | Email Options then check the box to Play a sound when new
mail arrives.

Also check that your speakers' volume is turned up! Lots of people turn
them down.
