New mail messages on Welcome Screen

How come on my mother's account it says that she has new email messages on
the Welcome screen, but when she goes and opens up Outlook Express, there
are none? Just curious. Thanks.

Unread message alerts may indicate you have unread messages not only
in Outlook Express, but Hotmail and/or MSN email accounts as well.

Unread message alerts may indicate you have unread messages not only
in Outlook Express, but Hotmail and/or MSN email accounts as well.

She has no Hotmail or MSN accounts. Any other ideas? This just started
happening after I installed Norton Internet Security 2004 with Norton
AntiSpam. Thanks again.

Click Kelly's link below, then click on "U" and scroll down to "Unread
Messages..."
Possible clues there.
