New iTunes out, 'compatible' with VISTA, Apple sez

Just got an automatic notice from Apple announcing same. Am downloading
the new version of iTunes.

What was wrong with the previous version? I have been using it for ages on
Vista x64 without any problems.

Dunno. Mine has been working.
 
itunes won't open now that I have the new version installed. Any ideas? I
tried restoring my computer to an earlier time, uninstalling and reinstalling
itunes an installing quick time by itself and nothing is working. When I
click on itunes it won't open.
 
iTunes has alwyas worked with my Vista X64... but I can never burn a CD....
Any help?????

Also a security update which I've installed. I don't use iTunes so I
unchecked that one.
