New internet issue with desktop and laptop

As of two nights ago, I cannot be on the internet on my desktop (with a cable
modem) and on the internet on my laptop (wireless router) at the same time.
I do not know of any recent changes.

Is your PC plugged into your router, then the router plugged into the cable
modem? And I assume the laptop is using the same router?

Look in your Event Logs for any new errors from the last few days. That
should give you an idea of what may have changed on your PC and laptop.
