i just installed XP on a new notebook with no OS. Setup created a partition,
and installed XP, but when setup restarted, i get the message "Windows could
not start because the following file is missing or corrupt :
System32\Drivers\Ntfs.sys" its goes on to tell me to restart setup with the
cd, but when i restart the notebook, ot goes straight to that screen again.

thats the problem, it wont give me the option to get into bios, it goes
straight to that screen, and if i keep hitting "DEL" on the off chance that
it just doent tell me when to hit it, it just resarts the computer and goes
back to that same screen.

Since bios setup entry is not a function of any version of windows, and very
few people are capable, long distance mindreaders, can you possibly divulge
the maker and model of the notebook to allow research into your actual
problem?
