New Installs - After SP2

My Windows XP SP1 system was installed with slipstreamed
files , directly from the HD ( This way I don't have to insert the
slipstreamed CD whenever it's needed. )
When Installing SP2 , I just double clicked the 266 MB pack
and a temporary directory was created , from where the files where
updated.
After install , windows deleted this temporary directory .
What happens when I install a program or just update the
system ? The new installs/upgrades will be asking for my SP2
CD ?? Or for that temporary directory created ??
