Hi, my Son`s hard drive has given up the ghost, and all
the information - including Packard Bells version of
Windows XP - has been lost. I am now looking at
purchasing a new version of XP to install into the new
hard drive of his PC. My PC has the oem version of XP
installed. When I buy the FULL version of XP for his
computer, will I be able to use it on any PC I own - if
for example I build a new PC or MY computer self
destructs ( this is the second time in 7 years ). I am a
little unsure as to the full meaning of the XP licence,
and would appreciate clarification on the matter.
Thanks in advance - hopefully
Paul

Given that the license that comes with Windows XP says it may only be used
on one computer at a time, yes a full version could be installed on any
computer you might own at a future point. But before you invest the money,
I'd be sure there's no way to get a replacement for the current Windows XP
license you already own.
