New installation from NT4 server to W2K Server

I have a IBM X220 with 3 hotswap disks. Disk 1 is NT4 server. Disk 2 and
disk 3 is data disk in a software Raid1. I wish to install Windows2000
server. I do not want to upgrade from NT4, is must be a new installation.

Is it possible to remove the two data disks, format the NT4 disk and install
W2K on disk 1, AND insert the two data disk, and still have the two disks in
a Raid still with data on ? Is it possible in som way to install W2K without
losing any data on disk 2 and disk 3 ?

I have a backup, but it could be smart, if I don't have to restore data ! A
question of time !!
