Migrating to W2K Server from NT 4-Nightmare

In trying to migrate to w2K server from NT4, on an
ALR/Gateway NS7000 with an ADAC RAID CArd(think is EISA, I
get hung on after I install the raid and scsi drivers.
Anything I should know? Is there an EISA incompatibility
with W2K server? How can I solve this without trashing my
old, but great server?

Hi

Not really sure whether this will help, but I know there
is a utility on the 2000 professional CD to test whether a
machine will upgrade and if not, it will list what might
cause a problem, like incompatible hardware or software.
You might want to check whether there is a similar utility
for the server version. Alternatively, you might want to
check the hardware compatibility list (HCL) on the
microsoft web site or on the server CD to see if your
problem hardware is on the list or not.

Hope that helps

John
