New Install, Device Mgr Question

I had a HD fail and had to reinstall WinXP Pro. Had BU for everything so did
not lose anything.
After installing all hardware and MB drivers, Video drivers, etc. I still
have an ! in the device manager.
It says "SM Bus Controller"
I have no idea what this is or where to get the drivers for it. My wife has
the same MB and does not have an SM Bus Controller.
Any idea what it is referring to?

The motherboard chipset drivers
You didnt install drivers from winupdate did you?

I did install the MB drivers from a disk that came with the MB.
I will re-install using the same disk.
Hope that will fix the problem.
I never use drivers from Winupdate.
