I went to easynews, 10 gig's 10 bucks. It works as well or better than the
five seperate news servers I was using before when I had individual news
for text and a couple of limited binary accounts.

Not in my book. Both are abysmally slow. Aioe.org would let me load and
read certain groups, but when I tried to post, told me that "the group does
not exist."

My God, pay the dollar-eight a month and keep speed and dependability.

For some it is not the money but the kind of information that is required
to pay by
credit card plus you have to join their financial institution.

The owner is threatening to make it strictly on a donation basis. He turns
the posting/no posting allowed off and on as a whim.
