New HP 78 color cartridge is giving all projects a green tint

I have an hp deskjet 940c printer and just put in a new B&W cartridge
(No. 15) and color (78) for a project I need to complete pronto.
Is it the cartridge --
Or do I need to make an adjustment and if so, what and how!!
Thanks

If the old #78 worked fine and you have not made any changes to the printer
software or application you are using then the new cartridge is defective.
You can check this by doing a test print.

1. Turn the printer on.
2. Press and hold the RESUME button until the printer starts printing.
3. Release the RESUME button.

If the test print has a greenish hue then get a replacement #78.

after cleaning and testing etc. for about an hour, the same conlusion
was reached. They are sending me another. But it was a good education.
Thanks for responding.
