New Hardware message at startup

Everytime I startup my computer I get a new harware message, prompting me to
install new hardware. There is nothing new to my computer. It began after I
did a windows update. I tried going back to a point prior to update, that
did not work. It also takes forever to start up now.
 
And if you cancel the new hw wizard, then look in hardware devices are any
exclamation marks shown?
Did you mistakenly use winupdate for drivers?
