new hard drives

I have installed a second hard drive which is recognised in the bios but not
in computer managment. it is recognised as a empty drive but no drive
letter.I have reallocated new drive letters to my dvd and cd drives ok.

Use computer mamgement to format the hartd drive - It will then assign a
drive letter.

If you have any data on the drive it will be lost during the format.

Right-click My Computer > Manage > Disk Management, right-click on the
drive. The new hard drive cannot be assigned a drive letter, not will it
become visible to Windows Explorer, until you've created and formatted
at least one partition on it.

hard drive is up and working.
