I just checked "My Computer" out, and it says that I have
4 hard disks installed, C F G H. Why did that happen? I
Only have the one C drive. XP is also telling me that
they arn't formatted. I didnt add anything to my system,
they just showed up. Any ideas???

Hi Chris,

Start/run diskmgmt.msc, what type of drives do they show as?
Did you add any CD software that creates virtual disks?
Cameras that are plugged into the system will appear as a separate drive as
well.

Thnaks Rick
I rand diskmgmt, I see my regular C drive as Disk 0, and
I see Disk 1 wich was once set up as a seperate linux
drive, with three partitions (now reading as F G H). The
second drive is kinda old, maybe its just failing and
lost its file system information, the file system shows
up blank in diskmgmt.

Thank makes more sence.

Hi,

Download and run a drive diagnostic to assess the health of the drive, they
are usually found for free on the web site of the drive manufacturer.
