As we do periodically we've released a new shareware/demo font just in
time for Halloween.
Sabanak is a darkly menacing, elaborate and wildly out of control art
nouveau gothic font, sort of in the tradition of our old Apollyon font,
but with a unique look and somewhat more readable.
You can find Sabanak and several other free downloads of fonts and art on
The Boneyard, our grand old Halloween website at

There's a lot of cool stuff there to use in Halloween or other horror
design projects.

A well respected company letting people in the design and print community
know that their company has a new, free, seasonal font available is spam??
I don't get it. It's useful information for us. I work at a movie theater
that shows independent and foreign films, so if I subscribe to an
independent films newsgroup, it would be spam to tell them we got a new
movie? Man, people are so anti-advertising these days that they forget
that advertising's first job is to convey information, and I could be wrong
here but I thought spam was about conveying _irrelevant_ information to
people who don't want it. From the headers, I would guess that the people
on the groups that the information was passed on to would appreciate it and
find it useful. Maybe Dave should just post to alt.design.graphics, I
believe most of us here enjoy new fonts.

These guys post three, maybe four times a year; they make good, usable fonts
for special occasions that you can't find anywhere else; I don't perceive
these kind of postings as spam; but as a service to the ones that use fonts;
and designers have a tendency to *do* use fonts.
Anyway, long time no see, steggy... doin' alright? Meh, always the same ole,
same ole... *sigh*
Have a nice time, buddy... and be nice with these guys... they rock....
But if you wanna talk about penis enlarging pills, that I'd kill without
hesitation... good thing I don't own a gun... I used to be a sharpshooter in
my time with the army...
