New Error Message

Error Message As Follows:

Header download for the 'Inbox' folder did not complete. General
authentication failed. None of the authentication methods supported by your
IMAP server (if any) are supported on this computer. Account:
'mail.simplybaselayer.com', Server: 'mail.simplybaselayer.com', Protocol:
IMAP, Server Response: '', Port: 143, Secure(SSL): No, Error Number:
0x800CCCDF

I have just moved house and changed my service provider from Sky to Orange
and feel this may have casued the problem as before this it has worked
without fault.

The Orange.co.uk web site gives you the correct pop/smtp server names:
pop.orangehome.co.uk
smtp.orangehome.co.uk

Assuming that you're in the UK. Also don't forget to change your
username/password to your Orange ones.

No experiance of IMAP servers, sorry. You can certainly recieve email
from other pop servers if that helps - probably not really in your case
I'd guess.

Information about Orange mail servers is not applicable to the OP who
is using the simplybaselayer.com mail server.

Check this setting:
Go to Tools, Accounts, select that mail account, Properties, Servers.
Uncheck the box for "Log on using Secure Password Authentication."
Also this one:
Go to Tools, Accounts, select that account, Properties, Servers.
The box for "My server requires authentication" must be checked.

Have you checked with the web host for simplybaselayer.com to
verify that they still support IMAP access?
