New email won't appear upon arrival

When I get a new email, it won't appear right away until I execute some other
actions. ** and having Firewall running is not the issue because there's
none. Is there any other solution?? Would appreciate help on this.

Are you using Exchange as the mail server? Your mail server is
obviously a critical point to mention so we know your actual setup.

That just illustrates a cause of losing the UDP packets. Other causes
can block UDP packets. If using Exchange, you'll have to investigate
your network to see why UDP packets are not reaching you.
 
Or set the registry settings suggested in the article that Vanguardx
mentioned, which will cause Outlook to ask whether there is new mail rather
than waiting for Exchange to tell it.
