All e-mails to be sent must first get moved into the Outbox folder. That's
what the Send operation does. Not until the next scheduled mail poll or
when you perform it manually does that e-mail actually get transmitted to
the mail server. You could hit the F9 key to do a send now. You could wait
until the next scheduled mail poll interval (if you enabled automatic
polling). Or you could enable the "send immediately" option to initiate a
manual poll now (i.e., when you click the Send button).
