new email opens in Word, not Outlook

every time i click on an email, from a website for
example, the compose form opens in Word. i want it to
open in Outlook...which i have set as my default email
application. i can't get it to stop opening in Word.
any suggestions? thanks

In Internet Explorer, check Tools-->Internet Options and
on the Programs tab, check to see what the e-mail editor
is.

In Outlook, Tools->options->mail format-> uncheck the option to use Word as
the mail editor.

the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.
