New Documents not blank.

I don't know how this happened but every time I open word and it opens a new
Document (Document 1) there is already text on the page. It seems as though I
have accidentally saved an old document as the default for new documents.

If you know how to fix this I would be so grateful! I hope this makes sense.
Please advise how to fix this, it is very annoying!
