new disk, like to maintain same drive letter for Quorum drive, how?

We are adding new disks to our cluster and would like to use the new disk to replace the current quorum drive and maintain the drive letter. How can we accomplish that? Say our current quorum is Q: drive, the new disk has been formated and given drive letter U:, should we disable the cluster services, reboot the servers, switch the drive letters, enable the services and reboot again?

Thanks!

You definitely don't want to shut down cluster services and change volume designations. Try this instead:

1. Start cluster admin, right clilck on the cluster object and go to Properties
2. Go to the Quorum tab, in the Quorum Resource box, select your U drive, then click OK

This will move the quorum from Q to U. Now you need to get rid of or rename your Q drive and then change the drive letter designation from U to Q in Logical Disk Manager. Make sure cluster admin picks up the volume letter change.
