New definitions (1.13.1276.3) for Windows Defender

I got my first look at how Windows Defender will update itself.
Turned on my PC this morning, and noticed the yellow exclamation icon in my
systray. I thought that was strange since I had already installed the
Windows Critical Updates a few days earlier. However, when I clicked on the
icon to get more info, I saw that it was new definitions for Windows
Defender.

There was no need to restart my PC, and the new signature version is
correctly reported in Defender's Help area, which is definitely an
improvement over MSAS.

I like this a lot myself. I do worry a bit every time I see that yellow
icon. I think "Did I miss some major exploit for which Microsoft is
providing an update outside the normal schedule?
