New computer software

I bought my HP computer package from K-mart. Itwas loaded
with XP when we recieved it. There was no XP software in
the package. How do I get the XP software so I can make
changes when it asks me to put in my XP CD?

You have to contact hp. They don't package restore or os cd's with their
systems. They opt to use a hidden partition to keep the restoration files.

Ugh. I'd have hoped they'd have taught the Compaq side about restore CDs, at
least.

Looks like things went the other direction.
