New computer probs.

Just built the wife a new computer for Xmas. When trying to install SBC
Yahoo disk I got a Workflow harness executable App. error. Did a google
search and back in August there was a post concerning this. One reply stated
that with XP Pro you didn't need the set up disc, this post was in reference
to cable. That the internet was plug and play. When I click on the start
button then the IE button I get a page cannot be displayed message, like
there is no connection. Also I was going to just re format the HD and start
all over. Can't find anything on the XP Pro disc for doing this. Any
thoughts and advice for these two problems for a lost soul? Thanks for any
and all help.

Hi Paul,

you still need to create a connection for the internet.
go to control panel and click on Network
connections,under network tasks(upper left hand corner)
click on create a new connection this will open up a set
up wizard then just follow the prompts.You may need
certain info about your ISP account.

I have installed many systems which use either DSL or Road Runner. In each
and every case, the LAN/internet connection has been configured correctly
during the install. When the install was completed the machine was connected
to the net. Just allow the install to use the default settings when it comes
to the part where it wants to set up your local area network. I have never
had to use any 3rd party software.

Exception: You can't use AOHell without using their software.
