New computer old problem

i recently bought a newer computer.

the specs are:
amd 64 3400
512 mb ddr sdram
intergrated SIS Mirage2 Graphics with 128 MB Shared video memory

I am trying to play Far Cry and some other titles that worked on the older
1700Mhz computer with a 9200 SE 128 AGP card.
I can not get these to work and was thinking that bring over the older card
until I can afford a newer one might be a good idea. Any reasons why that is
not a good idea? Suggestions?

The integrated schip is your problem...disable it and istall your old
card in your new computer.

The integrated chip is your problem...disable it and install your old
card in your new computer. Assuming that your new PC is AGP and not PCI-E.

It's a good idea, though only as a stop-gap solution. The 9200SE is still a
really slow card compared to the rest of your system.

Ok installed card but computer did not seem to like it really slow. Went to
device manager and card was functioning properly. SIS 760 was not present so
I am assuming that it was disabled. Guess it is time for a new card.
I have two available PCI slots and one APG slot. I also have a budget of
$100 US. Any suggestions? I looked at ATI tradeup program but the cards that
were offered were more money then I wanted to spend.

Did this and it seemed to help slightly but still am in the market for a new
card.

Thanks for all the help

The 9200SE could have been running with AGP disabled. Did you install the
SiS AGP drivers at:
http://www.sis.com/download/

Select Chipset Software -> AGP (GART) Driver -> [your operating system]
