New computer old drive

My computer died. Motherboard or powersupply not sure which. So I built a new
machine. It has a SATA drive XP Pro on it. I took the drive from my old
system and attached it to the IDE connector and it was recognized with no
problem. I used the same USER NAME for me on the new one as the old one and
used the same password. I however cannot access my folder on the old drive.
If I click on any of the other users folders I have access but my folder
which was the admin folder and which I had restricted on the old drive will
not let me access it. I right click and there is no security tab by which to
change permissioons on it either. Does anyone have any ideas of how I can
access my old folder.

Thanks
Kirk

You need to disable Simple File Sharing and take ownership of
the files. Take a look at these articles for more info:
