New computer accounts (urgent)

When I go to add a new machine to the domain, Win 2000 Clients, The machine
doesn't show up in active directory. It lets me add it to the domain, I
reboot the machine, and can successfully log on to the domain, but the
computer account doesn't show up anywhere. Also I have had a couple machines
recently that I added to the domain, and upon rebooting, I am getting a "
name already exists on the network" error. I know for a fact that there is
no other machines in AD with the same name. Does anyone have an idea of what
might be going on, and where to start troubleshooting the problem?

How are you searching for the computer account?

Try this, download adfind from the free win32 tools page of www.joeware.net.

On a machine that is a member of the forest type the following command

adfind -gc -b "" -f name=machinename -dn

That will find the machine whereever it is in the forest and display its location in the forest.
