New command missing from command list in "Customize"

I had added the news command to the Standard toolbar by accident. When I
reset the standard toolbar, the new button disappeared from the bar, however,
it is no longer available in the list of commands (for any category) in the
"Customize" dialog any more either. How can I get this back or find it??

Any help appreciated.
