My present system is Intel Core2 Duo with a GTX 275 GT video card.
It's pretty good, but aging. So I'm starting to collect parts. What do
you recommend for a high-end gaming video card? I'm looking at the
560s. Some have 2 fans. I suspect they are noisy. My 275 is whisper
quiet always.

If your card performs well on the current system, why change it? I upgraded my old system with an AMD Athlon 2.2GHz dual
core to a new motherboard, faster RAM, and an AMD Phenom II x4 3.2GHz and kept my same GT 240 and have no regrets. I can
run either BioShock and all the Modern Warfare series on the highest settings and have no lag or deterioration of game
play. I believe your GTX 275 is a few steps up from mine.

You can also go with AMD HD 67xx- or 68xx-series. These cards should be
under $200, and in some cases under $150.

Probably because he wants a high-end gaming video card.

You're probably right. I never claim to be the smartest .. just
the fastest :)
