New browser doesnot open

Wnen i click on new browser or press CTRL-N while using
internet explorer 6 a new browser doesnot open.Instead
whatever a new blank page will load in the current browser
itself and the back button also gets disabled.So,I can
open only one browser window at a time.Can you please help
me out on this????
