I tried adding my yahoo mail to windows mail so I can access both of them
from the same mail program. When I press send/receive I get this error
message. Can anyone help?

Is yours a free or paid Yahoo account?
US-based free Yahoo accounts have webmail access only, no POP
access. Windows Mail does not handle Yahoo webmail.

You can pay Yahoo to get their premium "Mail Plus" service:

and use the special settings for that service:
http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/mail/original/mailplus/pop/pop-14.html

If Mail Plus is the service you have, the problem is due to not having
the SSL option enabled. Go to Tools, Accounts, select that account,
Properties, Advanced, select the SSL option (two places).

Incidentally, it is better to post WLM problems to the WLM newsgroup:

Email scanning should be turned off in any anti-virus. Also exclude EML
files from the scan. It provides no protection not provided by the regular
resident protection.
Besides that, McAfee and Norton are not compatible with Windows Mail and
Outlook Express and should be uninstalled. The latest version of Trend's
anti-virus seems to be causing problems too.
